JC Acosta Appoints New Leadership Roles in Latin America

Darío Turovelzky and Eduardo Lebrija have been named the main leaders of ViacomCBS Networks Latin America in the region.

Just days after assuming leadership of ViacomCBS Networks International across Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France), Africa, and the Middle East, JC Acosta has announced key leadership appointments in Latin America, according to information obtained by ttvnews.

ViacomCBS Networks Latin America will now be structured around two new strategic geographic hubs:

  • Northern Latin America & Brazil, which will include Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and the rest of Latin America (excluding Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay). This hub will be led by Eduardo Lebrija.

In addition to this new role, Lebrija will expand his current position as EVP Chief Commercial Officer to include oversight of all commercial and revenue strategies within the newly created cluster.

  • The Southern Latin America hub will comprise Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay, and will be led by Darío Turovelzky.

Turovelzky will lead the entire ViacomCBS ecosystem in the Southern LatAm region, overseeing Telefe, the recently acquired Chilevisión, and all ViacomCBS brands.

Both hub leaders will report directly to JC Acosta.

Additional Leadership Appointments Within the New Cluster:

  • Susana Sala has been appointed Head of Operations. In her new role, she will oversee operations and strategic services across Southern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, including BALA, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology, reporting to Acosta.

  • Guadalupe Cortés has been named CFO, expanding her current financial responsibilities to include Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a dual reporting line to Susana Sala.

  • Bryan Schiller will continue to lead strategy and M&A, expanding his responsibilities into Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He will also execute operational strategy, M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships in linear and digital TV distribution across the group, reporting to Acosta.

  • Tatiana Rodríguez will be appointed Head of Content, Marketing, and Commercial Solutions for Southern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, reporting to Acosta. This new cross-regional role will oversee global brand strategy, windowing, and brand monetization through commercial marketing, as well as content and marketing for streaming platforms.

  • Germán Groba is appointed Brand Head of MTV Entertainment Brands for the entire cluster, covering Northern and Southern LATAM and Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, reporting to Tatiana Rodríguez.

  • Migdalis Silva is appointed Brand Lead for Nickelodeon across both Northern and Southern LATAM hubs, also reporting to Tatiana Rodríguez.

  • Federico Cuervo will continue as Head of VIS LATAM, including the recently acquired TeleColombia & Estudios TeleMéxico.
