Yes, there’s an AI-demic. 🦾🧠😱🤯

Everybody’s talking about AI, creating the biggest FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) EVER! 😥🥶

Since I was an early adopter 2 years ago, and I’m of a curious nature, I’ll share with you my two cents on the subject…

What I’ve learned so far:

1. Take AI seriously, and not just as a “surreal” or “far-fetched” thing – like I unfortunately heard someone saying and laughing about it in a Senior Leadership team meeting I attended last year. 😳🫣

2. Subsequently, take Prompt Engineering as a serious discipline and, why not?, an Art. It’s a must if you want to master AI and take the most profit for your business. 💪

3. As with every other landmark in a technological revolution, (it's not going to) IT IS ending fields of industries, and the jobs associated with them. ⌚️ ⚰️

4. It’s our choice to embrace it and, aligned with the new never-stop-learning mindset, to re-invent ourselves and our business, taking advantage of it. 💻 🧬 Becoming obsolete because of it or thriving with it, it’s our choice. 🛤️🛣️

5. Aligned with a previous article I published (Build to Win), I suggest to all business leaders and owners to train and re-invent your talent. 💪⚙️

Tech skills can be learned; human talent can be difficult and costly to lose. 🧠💸

6. Yes, as with every new tech, there are great prompting hacks to “talk” with the machine.

7.  The different types and applications of AI grow exponentially by the month (also mentioned in Build to Win).

8.  So, look for the right forums and community of experts to choose wisely and strategically, before ending up with tons of solutions that overlap in functionality, hence wasting your budget. 💡

9.  Talking about budget, invest in AI. 💎🏆

A simple end user's example: OPEN AI offers up to 7 different chat models – including their Beta tests – in their premium accounts. 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠

Besides, it has a “back-end” world to explore and exploit for creating your own bots or LLM’s (Large Language Models) and notebooks. 🤩

Since I’ve mentioned about hacks (if you’re using a serious service), here is one:

Imagine you’ve hired a young intern, eager to help you, tirelessly and happily. And that intern has the knowledge of all the experts in the world in every field.

BUT remember, it is an INTERN. 

Clever, hard working and connected to every database in the world, but as any junior talent, needs proper direction to deliver the exact result you want or you envisioned, or even better.

Strategic direction, clear and structured briefing (prompting) depends (almost) entirely on you.

I’ve said almost, because there are hacks to optimize your own prompting as well, of course! 😉

See? Humans or intelligent machines alike, it’s all about proper and clear communication. 

Your very human skills to communicate and lead are still key. 🧠❤️

10.  As with every tool, research, go as deep as possible, and maximize the heck out of your investment. If you’re using AI just for automating your communications or creating graphics, decks, etc.; you are missing at least 70% of its potential.

With all that being said, let’s remind ourselves of a couple of things:

1.  There are intense discussions about what the definition of intelligence is, even though the mind-blowing results of machine learning and neural networks exist. 😮🤯

2.  If you have talent, knowledge, and experience in your field, you’ll take better advantage of AI tools. 💪🧠 

If you take one step back, meditate and think with clarity the many ways you can find to apply it to your business goals, are countless...🤩🤯

The more I use it, the more I reaffirm that you need a very HUMAN talent to imagine what you want to achieve, how you want to achieve it, what your story is and how you want to tell it to the world.

And more importantly, why you do it.

The WHAT, the WHY, and the HOW.

All that is going to improve yourself, your team, your organization, and the world around you. 💪⚙️🧬📈
